The area around Seron is ideal for walking, mountain biking or horse riding.
There is an abundance of wildlife including wild boars, birds of prey & many smaller
animals and birds.
In spring the wild flowers are beautiful and carpet the ground with colour and fragrance.
Western theme parks / Film sets
Located over the mountain from Seron at Tabernas is europes only desert, that is home to three western film
sets /Theme Parks. All three offer western shows, mexican village, indian tepees, horses, wagon rides, dressing up (for
photos) etc.. etc.. and Oasys (formerly mini hollywood) also has a zoo. These film sets are where hundreds
of films such as lawrence of Arabia, Magnificent Seven & the Last Crusade were produced, and are still used
for films today.

Above is a picture of the beach at Freila (part of Lake Negratin) taken on a Sunday in mid
summer. There is a bar/restaurant on site, pedaloes for hire, & no crowds.
Below is a picture of Lake Negratin, taken from the dam wall. The lake is over 15 km long and is a freshwater
reservoir used for swimming & fishing. It is about thirty mins drive away.

Pictures of thermal balsa at cela. This is a natural hot spring where you can swim all year in its lovely
warm water for free.There are numerous bars and restaurants sited around it. Cela is a five minute drive away.
Sorbas Caves
Sorbas caves are located over the mountain from Seron .Guided tours are available within the caves from
easy to advanced routes.
